How we got our start.
Louis and Phil was started by a PA who understands the needs and humor of healthcare workers.
After developing a neurological disease that ended her career as an Emergency Room PA, Joni, a co-founder of this business, decided to design scrub caps and masks to protect her former colleagues during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our original scrub caps were designed with buttons to hold masks to minimize the discomfort on the ears during long shiftwork. We continue designing scrub caps with comfort in mind, as well as style, personality, and durability.
Joni’s husband John co-founded the business with her and continues to manage their small family business. They live in Texas with their 7 kids.
At Louis + Phil, we offer scrub caps in 4 different styles (Euro, Ponytail, Bouffant and Unisex tie back) with original and exclusive designs printed on high quality cotton and professionally sewn in the United States.
The name Louis + Phil comes from the patron Saints of buttons and hats - Saints Louis and Phillip - as a nod to our earlier cap designs featuring buttons for attaching face masks.
